Joining Rightway as its 4th employee and founding designer, I embarked on a mission to simplify and humanize healthcare. My early days were defined by a dual focus: strategically reimagining access to healthcare and passionately advocating for user-centric solutions. This blend of strategic vision and meticulous attention to user needs helped Rightway become the health tech unicorn it is today.

Central to our design ethos was an unwavering commitment to empathy. Whether designing intuitive platforms for our members or empowering our internal teams with effective tools, our guiding principle was always to listen, understand, and respond to the "Voice of the Customer." This empathetic approach allowed us to craft solutions that not only navigated the complexities of healthcare, but also genuinely connected with users, ensuring every interaction was impactful and meaningful.

As I transitioned from being the sole designer to leading a team of exceptional product designers, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of collaboration. Together, we delved into projects like Designer Experience Reviews, Error Messaging Audits, Competitive Teardowns and Pitches, and enriched our toolkit with both quantitative and qualitative research, which all underscored our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the continuous pursuit of making healthcare design more accessible, understandable, and empathetic than ever before.
